Samsung has not forgotten about the highly anticipated Galaxy A56 U.S.

launch after all. Despite the phone being absent from U.S. store shelves for nearly three months following its global debut, new developments suggest it might finally be making its way stateside – just on Samsung’s timeline.

The Galaxy A56 has been missing in action in the U.S., leaving fans frustrated. While the Galaxy A36, a more affordable model, has already made its way to U.S. consumers, the more advanced A56 remains elusive. Samsung had confirmed in March that the A56 would be arriving in the U.S., though not immediately. Since then, the company has remained relatively quiet on updates – but behind the scenes, work has continued.

We’ve recently confirmed that Samsung is actively working on U.S. firmware for the Galaxy A56, specifically the SM-A566U1 model. This is the clearest sign that the device is still in the pipeline for a U.S. release. While there’s no firm launch date yet, the ongoing firmware development signals that Samsung may be getting closer to the long-awaited launch.

One of the reasons behind the delayed rollout could be the incredible value the Galaxy A56 offers. At $499 globally, this mid-range powerhouse packs a 120Hz AMOLED display, the Exynos 1480 chip with AMD graphics, and promises five years of software support – all of which could potentially compete with the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE.

The A56 boasts a 6.6-inch 1080p AMOLED screen, a 50 MP main camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. With four OS updates and five years of security patches, it stands out in the crowded mid-range market. The standout feature, however, is the Exynos 1480 processor, which delivers a stronger GPU and improved graphics performance compared to previous A5x series phones.

Although the U.S. launch price is expected to remain around $499, Samsung may adjust this figure before the official release. We’ll continue to keep an eye on developments as we wait for Samsung’s official announcement. The Galaxy A56 might have taken longer than expected to arrive, but it’s still on its way.
