Samsung Could Unveil Galaxy AI Pricing by Q3 2025, Charging for Advanced Tools

Samsung appears to be gearing up to officially reveal its Galaxy AI pricing structure by Q3 2025, according to a new report from South Korea.

While the company has remained vague about its long-term plans, it previously stated that Galaxy AI features would be free until the end of 2025. Now, it seems a tiered approach is on the horizon.

The tech giant has been positioning Galaxy AI as a major component of its flagship devices, including tools like Circle to Search and Live Translate. These features have been widely adopted by both general users and enterprise customers. However, as competition in the AI market heats up-with rivals offering clearly defined free and premium AI tiers-Samsung is being pushed to clarify which features will remain free and which ones will move behind a paywall.

According to the latest rumors, only Samsung’s most advanced AI features-like AI video generation-are expected to require a paid subscription. Basic functionalities are likely to remain accessible at no extra cost. This strategy aligns with broader industry trends, where more resource-heavy AI tasks are increasingly being monetized while simpler utilities stay free to retain user engagement.

More information is anticipated at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, scheduled for July. The company is expected to showcase new AI tools and possibly confirm which capabilities will fall under its premium tier, especially as part of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 lineups.

Until an official announcement is made, all details should be treated as speculative. Still, it’s clear that Samsung is taking steps to solidify its Galaxy AI strategy as it prepares to enter the next phase of monetization and expansion.
