Samsung Galaxy F36 5G: A New Affordable Option in the Market

Samsung has long been known for churning out phones across different markets with similar features, making it a dominant player in the entry- and mid-level phone market. The company’s marketing strategy typically sees the same phones released under different names across the globe.

While this might seem like an artificial expansion of its phone lineup, it clearly works for the tech giant.

In line with its strategy, Samsung is preparing to launch yet another affordable phone: the Galaxy F36 5G. Recently spotted on the Google Play Console, the phone’s image was small, but it gave us a hint of what to expect. Despite being a new release, the Galaxy F36 5G doesn’t stand out in terms of design. The phone is equipped with a triple-camera setup, arranged vertically with a 2+1 sensor layout, with an LED flash to the right.

Perhaps the most striking features of the Galaxy F36 5G are its large display and slim bezels. The phone is expected to sport a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera. While we don’t have the exact display size yet, we do know it will feature a Full HD+ screen with a 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution and 450ppi pixel density. The phone’s design isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s functional and sleek enough for the target audience.

The specs of the Galaxy F36 5G are fairly modest. The phone will run on a two-year-old Exynos 1380 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM. It will ship with Android 15 out of the box, and Samsung is expected to offer five to six years of OS updates, similar to what we saw with the Galaxy F16 5G launched earlier this year.

Interestingly, the Google Play Console listing also mentions a couple of other Samsung phones that could be variations of the Galaxy F36 5G: the Galaxy M36 5G and the Galaxy Jump 4. The Galaxy M36 5G may launch in India soon, while the Galaxy Jump 4 could be a version designed specifically for the South Korean market.
