Samsung Galaxy F36 5G Launched in India: Affordable 5G with Impressive Features

Samsung has quietly launched the Galaxy F36 5G in India, a mid-range device that comes with an attractive set of features for its price range. Despite the low-key unveiling, the device packs a decent punch with its specifications, though it leaves a few things to be desired in terms of innovation.

The Galaxy F36 5G measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.7 mm and weighs 197 grams.

The phone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, which may seem a bit underwhelming in today’s world where faster charging is becoming more common. However, it’s enough for most users to get through a full day of use. The 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making it a good option for multimedia consumption, even though there’s no official word on its ingress protection rating-though we expect it to be similar to the IP67 rating seen on the Galaxy A36. The front of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added durability.

On the performance side, the F36 5G is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset, which features a combination of 2.4GHz Quad A78 and 2GHz Quad A55 CPUs along with a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU. The device comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on the variant, and offers 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card. Connectivity options include Sub-6 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi AC, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and GLONASS support. It ships with Android 15 and One UI 7 out of the box, bringing with it several AI enhancements for a smarter experience.

The camera setup on the Galaxy F36 5G includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. The 8MP ultrawide camera and the 2MP macro camera round out the rear setup, providing a versatile shooting experience for various situations. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera, also capable of recording 4K video.

The Galaxy F36 5G is available in three color options: Coral Red, Luxe Violet, and Onyx Black faux leather. It is priced at INR 17,499 for the 6GB/128GB variant and INR 18,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. There are also launch offers that include discounts of up to INR 1,500, effectively lowering the price to INR 15,999. For those looking for a well-rounded 5G device without breaking the bank, the Galaxy F36 5G might be a solid option.
