Samsung is finally stepping up its game-at least a little. The upcoming Galaxy S25 FE is now confirmed to support 45W wired charging, a notable bump from the sluggish 25W limit of its predecessor. This improvement was verified through a TÜV Rheinland certification, hinting that Samsung might actually be listening to users asking for faster charging speeds.

Of course, don’t expect a charger in the box-Samsung is still sticking to its minimalist (read: cost-cutting) philosophy.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite didn’t get the same love. Also TÜV-certified, the Lite tablet remains stuck at 25W charging. That’s a clear downgrade compared to the rest of the Tab S10 lineup, all of which enjoy 45W charging speeds. It’s obvious Samsung trimmed features here to keep the Lite model cheaper-but at what cost?

The actual price tags of both devices remain under wraps, but rumor has it that the S25 FE and S10 Lite might launch together around October. Until then, we’re left speculating whether Samsung’s move to 45W charging is a true leap forward or just catch-up disguised as innovation.

At least the S25 FE might finally charge fast enough to keep up with users’ expectations-though not quite enough to compete with Chinese brands that are already pushing 67W and beyond. Still, it’s a welcome upgrade for fans of the Galaxy FE series, even if it comes years late.
