Samsung isn’t done launching phones this year, and the next in line is the Galaxy S25 FE – expected to drop around October.
This Fan Edition model is shaping up to be a thinner, lighter evolution of the Galaxy S24 FE, borrowing much of its design and specs from the Galaxy S25 series.
Design-wise, the Galaxy S25 FE features an Armor Aluminum frame and a sleek profile, powered by the Exynos 2400 chip. It’s also expected to include a larger battery with faster charging, plus a 6.7-inch FHD+ display supporting a 1-120Hz refresh rate.
But what about the cameras? Here’s where things stay familiar. Rumors point to the same triple-lens rear setup from the S24 FE: a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide shooter. The only likely upgrade is a new 12MP selfie camera replacing the previous 10MP, offering autofocus for sharper self-portraits.
Though hardware remains nearly unchanged, Samsung’s software magic could be where the S25 FE shines. The company has a track record of significantly improving image quality through smarter processing, even with identical camera sensors.
In previous tests, the S24 FE scored 150 points in the PhoneArena Camera Score test, impressing with its natural colors, good dynamic range, and detail retention. Minor issues included telephoto oversharpening and some inconsistency in color accuracy. These seem like problems that could be ironed out through software, meaning the S25 FE may very well deliver superior photo and video results without new hardware.
All eyes are on Samsung to see if this iterative but refined FE edition will deliver standout performance where it matters most – in everyday shooting conditions and real-world usage.
