Leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is shaping up to be a significant update to its predecessor, with the potential for an ‘Edge’ design treatment. While the foldable devices are expected to dominate Samsung’s announcements soon, the S25 FE, a non-foldable high-end option, is also in the works and could be officially revealed by the end of the year.
Recent leaks have confirmed the Galaxy S25 FE’s upcoming arrival and now, we know exactly what it will look like.
While the S25 FE isn’t expected to drastically change the design of the S24 FE, there are a couple of upgrades that will make many Samsung fans happy, especially those on a budget but still craving powerful specs. The phone will feature a familiar design but with a thinner profile and reduced bezels, bringing a sleeker look that doesn’t sacrifice usability.
The phone will be 7.4mm thick, a noticeable improvement over the 8mm thickness of the S24 FE. Although it won’t be as slim as the Galaxy S25 Edge at 5.8mm, it’s clear Samsung is committed to reducing the thickness of its devices in the years to come. At this size, the S25 FE is nearly as slim as the regular Galaxy S25, which measures just 7.2mm. The reduction in thickness is impressive but doesn’t seem to affect battery life
. The S25 FE is also expected to be slightly shorter and narrower than the S24 FE, which means a further reduction in bezel size.
Interestingly, the S25 FE will likely retain the same 6.7-inch screen size as its predecessor, featuring an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, which remains a solid choice, though not groundbreaking. But the major question on many people’s minds is: will it cost more than the S24 FE?
It’s quite possible that the S25 FE will carry a higher price tag, especially if Samsung retains or even increases the battery size (possibly up to 5,000mAh). Although the exact battery size is yet to be confirmed, other details, like the 12MP front camera and unchanged 50 + 8 + 12MP rear camera setup, seem likely to stay the same.
Under the hood, rumors suggest that the same Exynos 2400e processor from the S24 FE might be used again, making it difficult for Samsung to justify any significant price increase.
However, insiders indicate that the S25 FE could come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which would significantly improve its appeal if it comes in at $700, compared to the $650 price tag of the S24 FE with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. That would make the Galaxy S25 FE an enticing option for many consumers, even with the potential price hike.
