While all eyes are on Samsung’s upcoming foldable launch today, a sneak peek at the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has surfaced thanks to its recent certification from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This listing confirms that the phone will support the Qi 2.1 wireless charging standard, but there’s some doubt about its speed.
The listing mentions that the S25 FE will only support 5W speeds under the Basic Power Profile (BPP), but that seems unlikely given the S24 FE already supports 15W charging speeds.
In terms of design, the S25 FE (model number SM-S731) will likely follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. Expect a triple camera setup with metal rings around the cameras, just like the S24 FE. The device will feature a 6.7-inch flagship Super AMOLED display with thinner bezels, offering a larger screen than its predecessor while maintaining a sleek design.
As for cameras, the S25 FE will come with an updated 12MP selfie camera and the same rear camera setup as the S24 FE: a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. These specs may not be groundbreaking, but they’re solid for a mid-tier phone.
There’s been confusion about the chipset powering the S25 FE. While some reports suggest it will use the Exynos 2400e chipset (the same as the S24 FE), others point to the possibility of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 or even the full Exynos 2400. These mixed rumors make it difficult to know what to expect.
The S24 FE launched last October, so it’s possible the S25 FE will follow a similar timeline. But even with the updated specs and features, some still question whether it’s worth the price, especially considering how quickly the FE models drop in value after release. If you’re looking for a good deal, the S24 FE, which was recently priced around 399€ ($330), offers excellent value. In comparison, the S25 FE may be hard to justify at its expected higher price, especially when the standard S25 or S25+ models could offer better features for just a little more.
