Samsung Galaxy S26 Sizes Leak as New Edge Model Replaces Plus

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup is set to stick closely to the formula established by its predecessor, the S25 series. According to fresh leaks, the display sizes for the S26 models will remain nearly identical to last year’s phones:

  • Galaxy S26: 6.27 inches
  • Galaxy S26 Edge: 6.66 inches
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.89 inches

The biggest shake-up? Samsung is reportedly ditching the S26 Plus model and introducing a new ‘Edge’ variant instead-a move that mirrors Apple’s decision to replace the iPhone Plus with the iPhone 17 Air due to disappointing sales.

This new Edge model focuses more on design than on hardware muscle, signaling a shift in strategy toward aesthetics and user experience. Samsung seems to be aligning with a broader industry trend that de-emphasizes display size and camera bragging rights in favor of thinner profiles and advanced AI integration.

Case in point: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, already available for pre-order, is being pushed as Samsung’s thinnest foldable yet. While it adopts the same camera module found in the S25 Ultra, the focus is clearly on sleekness and smarter software.

Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly thickening its Pro iPhones to squeeze in larger batteries, while Samsung appears content keeping things slim, for now-despite some users still wishing for more battery life.

With design-centric changes and a renewed focus on AI, the Galaxy S26 series looks less like a revolution and more like a refinement. Whether or not that’s enough to keep fans excited remains to be seen.
