Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 tablets are on the horizon, with expected releases this fall, but leaks and benchmark data are already giving us a peek into their features.
Recently spotted on Geekbench, both the Galaxy Tab S11 and the more powerful Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra have had some key specs revealed, sparking plenty of conversation among fans and tech enthusiasts.
Early rumors suggested that Samsung would use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 or its enhanced 9400+ chipsets in these tablets, a shift away from the usual Qualcomm chips found in Samsung’s flagship devices
. While this may have been disappointing for some, especially those loyal to Qualcomm’s performance, it’s worth noting that the Dimensity 9400 debuted last year, and its successor, the Dimensity 9500, could overshadow it by the time Samsung’s tablets hit the market.
Despite this, new benchmark results have surfaced, providing more details. The regular Galaxy Tab S11, identified by the model number SM-X736B, was spotted on Geekbench with a chipset featuring eight cores: one core clocked at 3.73GHz, three cores at 3.30GHz, and four cores at 2.40GHz. The base frequency of the chipset is 2.40GHz, though there’s no further info available yet.
Interestingly, well-known tipster Abhishek Yadav uncovered that the Galaxy Tab S11 uses a Mali-G925-Immortalis GPU, the same graphics unit used in MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 and 9400+ chips. This aligns with previous reports that suggested the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra would likely sport these MediaTek chips, with the regular model potentially featuring the Dimensity 9400, and the Ultra model getting the slightly upgraded 9400+ version.
Further reports point to the Tab S11 featuring 12GB of RAM and Android 16, with the Ultra model likely to include enhanced specs, though it’s still unclear exactly what hardware will be improved.
Both the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra are expected to launch in September, marking a shift in Samsung’s tablet lineup. Interestingly, there will be no Plus model this year, as Samsung seems to be focusing solely on these two flagship tablets.
