Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to Expect and How to Watch

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is happening today, July 9th, in New York City, and it’s expected to reveal some exciting new products. Although the foldable phones will be the headline attraction, there will also be some attention on the company’s new wearables and AI advancements.

While leaks have already given us a sneak peek of what’s to come, we can still expect a few surprises from Samsung.

The event is set to kick off at 10:00 AM ET (7:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM CET), with an in-person audience made up of industry leaders, influencers, and partners, while fans around the world can tune in via livestream. The livestream will be available on Samsung’s official website and their YouTube channel, so you can watch all the action unfold from the comfort of your home.

One of the highlights of this year’s Galaxy Unpacked is expected to be Samsung’s focus on Galaxy AI. After AI features played a big role in the Galaxy S25 series, we’re expecting the company to dive deeper into how AI will enhance the user experience with the upcoming devices.

Regarding product launches, Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, which are both rumored to get major design upgrades. The Z Flip 7 is expected to be thinner than its predecessor, coming in at 13.7mm thick when folded and 6.5mm when unfolded. The device will also weigh 187g and feature a larger battery for improved longevity. Alongside the premium model, Samsung is likely to introduce a more affordable version of the Z Flip with similar dimensions but reduced component costs.

The Z Fold 7 is expected to be even slimmer than previous models, with a folded thickness of just 8.9mm and an unfolded thickness of 4.2mm. Weighing in at around 215g, it will also feature the same 4,400mAh battery as its predecessor. The phone will come in three colors: Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow.

One of the biggest surprises could be Samsung’s tri-fold phone. This innovative device will feature a 6.94-inch cover display and a 9.9-inch main display. It’s expected to be a premium offering with limited availability, launching next year.

As for wearables, the Galaxy Watch 8 is also on the radar. With 40mm and 44mm sizes, the new smartwatches will likely keep the same design as the Galaxy Watch Ultra, with the familiar squircle shape. It’s unclear what additional features might be included, but fans are excited to see how Samsung continues to evolve its wearable lineup.

Stay tuned for our detailed coverage of the event, as we’ll be diving into all the key announcements as they unfold today.
