Samsung’s next wave of smartwatches has leaked again, and it looks like we’re getting more than just subtle tweaks.

New high-quality renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have surfaced online, offering a full look ahead of their expected debut next month alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7.

The new designs confirm the continued shift toward the ‘squircle’ shape – a mix of square and circle – that first appeared with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This unified design language now extends across the Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra 2, making the lineup feel more cohesive – or, depending on who you ask, a bit repetitive.

Samsung is reportedly sticking with its own silicon for these wearables, as all three watches are expected to be powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, which recently popped up in an eBay leak, is shaping up to be the standout for fans of traditional styling. It’s rumored to include a rotating bezel, a feature many loyalists swear by, along with a 46mm case, 1.5-inch display, LTE support, and 64GB of internal storage.

All models are tipped to ship with One UI 8 Watch, based on Google’s Wear OS 6, likely bringing software improvements focused on health tracking, battery efficiency, and seamless Samsung ecosystem integration.

While the design shift might appeal to some, others are skeptical – especially regarding battery life. If the Watch 8 Classic only manages around two days per charge as advertised, power users may need to keep their chargers close.

Whether the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is a genuine upgrade or just a refreshed version of the original Ultra with new colors remains to be seen. But with Samsung’s history of small iterative updates, cautious optimism might be the best stance for now.
