Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, and alongside them, the much-anticipated Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. This more affordable foldable is essentially a modified Flip6, offering a lower price point for those looking to experience Samsung’s foldable technology without breaking the bank. 
However, there’s a big catch-if you’re in the US, you won’t be able to buy the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE from any carrier.
The reason for this absence is unclear, but it’s a significant setback for Samsung’s strategy. While the Flip7 and Fold7 are available through various US carriers, the Flip7 FE is nowhere to be found. This means that US customers who want the device will need to buy it unlocked from places like Samsung’s official store, Amazon, or Best Buy. Once you’ve got it, you can use it with your preferred carrier, but the fact that it’s not offered through the usual channels means it’s not as convenient for most buyers, especially those who typically purchase their phones through carrier plans.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is the cheapest option among Samsung’s newest foldables, and it could have been a huge sales hit if it had been more accessible. Unfortunately, most Americans buy their phones directly from carriers, making this a missed opportunity for Samsung to reach a larger audience with its most affordable foldable offering. In regions like Indonesia, the Flip7 FE is also not available, highlighting how Samsung’s decisions regarding availability can vary from market to market.
