Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Unboxing Highlights: Design & AI Enhancements

Samsung’s official unboxing of the Galaxy Z Flip7 reveals the new features that make it a standout in 2025. The unboxing showcases the larger 4.1” cover display and a host of advanced AI functionalities, now available with One UI 8, built on Android 16.

This update significantly improves the user experience.

The Z Flip7 arrives in a compact box with a USB C-to-C cable and a brief user manual. The design is sleeker than its predecessors, with a slim profile-measuring just 13.7mm when folded and 6.5mm when unfolded. The durable Armor Aluminum frame and Armor FlexHinge provide robust structural support, making this the most rigid Z Flip model yet.

One of the more eye-catching features is the new “Blue Shadow” color, alongside an exclusive Mint option available only on Samsung’s website. The revamped FlexWindow, Samsung’s term for the cover display, is now 4.1” in size, an upgrade from the previous 3.4”. The bezels have been reduced to an impressively slim 1.25mm, making for a more immersive experience.

The internal display has also grown, now 6.9” compared to the 6.7” on the Z Flip6. Both displays can now reach 2,600 nits of brightness for enhanced outdoor visibility-up from the Z Flip6, which topped out at 1,600 nits on the cover display.

The FlexWindow isn’t just for notifications-it doubles as a selfie tool, with features like a color-changing camera border and a zoom slider. The AI-powered Auto Zoom feature is perfect for group shots, where positioning the phone can be tricky. Plus, real-time preview filters on the FlexWindow allow you to edit your photos on the fly.

Another exciting addition is the Google Gemini AI agent, which you can activate by pressing the power button. The AI can interact with you, even using the camera to suggest things like outfit colors that match your makeup. The Now Bar also provides quick access to music and video controls, along with timely updates based on your apps and location.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the first in the series to support Samsung’s DeX feature, turning your phone into a full desktop workstation with a simple connection to a monitor and peripherals like a keyboard and mouse. It’s a game-changer for those needing a mobile office experience.
