The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be officially unveiled on July 9 at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.
However, before the big reveal, another leak has surfaced, unveiling the colors the foldable flagship will come in. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available in three primary colors at launch: Jetblack, Silver Shadow, and Blue Shadow.
For those who prefer classic shades, it’s great to see that black is no longer exclusive to online sales. Silver returns, but with a slightly different hue compared to the one found on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Meanwhile, Blue Shadow replaces the previous Navy color, and has already made an appearance in a leaked hands-on image of the Fold 7. For fans of darker tones, I have to admit that Blue Shadow evokes a sense of nostalgia, particularly when paired with the black front display. It reminds me of the DS Lite handheld I used to have, which shared a very similar shade of blue. Samsung may have unintentionally created a color combination that could convince me to step away from my usual black choice, at least for one generation.
While the new colors are exciting, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be a major leap forward in terms of performance, making the Fold 6 seem almost outdated. With a folded thickness of just 8.9 mm and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Fold 7 is shaping up to be an essential device for those who love Samsung’s foldable phones. Add in One UI, seven years of software support, and an improved crease, and the Fold 7 is sure to be a popular choice.
However, for those who find the rumored 4,400 mAh battery too small, rivals like the Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V5 may offer a more appealing alternative, as they come with larger batteries while featuring similar specs. The Honor Magic V5 even promises the same seven years of software support that Samsung offers.
Lastly, if you’re new to foldables and want to try one without spending a fortune, you’re in luck. It’s nearly confirmed that Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at Unpacked, offering a more budget-friendly option in the foldable space.
