Apparently, Samsung has encountered production issues with a ‘mystery’ S Pen, and while it’s unclear whether this is the one meant for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there’s speculation that the company may have removed the S Pen digitizer to make the device slimmer-a trend currently sweeping the smartphone industry. If that’s the case, Samsung would need to take a page out of Apple’s playbook, and the ‘mystery’ S Pen might be their solution for the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Although the rumors remain vague, they suggest that Samsung has stopped production of this specific S Pen, leaving us to wonder if the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will launch without it.

The new model appears significantly slimmer, at just 9mm when folded, compared to 12mm on the previous version. The Fold 7 has a more modern look, making the Fold 6 seem outdated. There have also been fresh renders, suggesting that Samsung might ditch the under-display camera. In terms of power, the Fold 7 may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the same chip found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is likely to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. While we expect to see several improvements, no major breakthroughs are anticipated this year, aside from perhaps the sleek, slim design that Samsung has teased.
