The official launch of Samsung’s new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, is just around the corner, with a reveal expected in about a month. Samsung has already kicked off its marketing campaign, offering us a glimpse of what’s to come.
After a teaser that left us scratching our heads last week (which had many speculating about a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra), the latest teaser from Samsung cuts to the chase, focusing on what matters most in the world of foldables: size and weight.
While we still don’t have the precise dimensions, Samsung is making bold claims about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company promises that the upcoming foldable will be “the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet.” Samsung’s engineers and designers are reportedly working tirelessly to ensure each new iteration of the Galaxy Z series is thinner, lighter, and more durable than its predecessors.
In other words, the Z Fold 7 will be Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable to date, and it’s safe to say these claims are in line with recent reports. As for the device’s internal display, it’s expected to be similar in size to the Z Fold 6 Special Edition, possibly boasting a massive 8.2-inch screen. According to the most recent reports, the Z Fold 7 could be just 4.54mm thick when unfolded and 9mm when folded, slightly thinner than its rival, the Find N5. Other dimensions are said to be 158.43 x 143.14mm.
When it comes to battery life, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will come equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be officially introduced in July. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the official reveal!
