Samsung has kicked off testing for One UI 8 on two more smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. This comes shortly after the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy S24 FE entered the One UI 8 testing phase.
The firmware for these two foldables was spotted on Samsung’s servers, signaling the start of development for One UI 8 on the devices.
However, while the update is on the horizon, it may take some time before it’s officially rolled out. For now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 are still running on One UI 7, which has already been released in multiple regions. If you haven’t received the One UI 7 update yet, you can manually check by navigating to Settings > Software update.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 have received a lot of attention due to their innovative foldable designs. The arrival of One UI 8 is expected to bring improvements in stability and performance, though some users have pointed out that the update doesn’t bring drastic changes compared to One UI 7. Still, it’s hoped that the update will further refine the experience on these devices.
For those still in the market for these foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 are available for purchase through various retailers, with competitive prices for different configurations. While the rollout of One UI 8 may take time, it’s always good to keep an eye on updates to make sure you’re getting the latest features and improvements.
