Samsung is gearing up for a big leap with its Galaxy Z Fold7 series, and the excitement is mounting as fresh Geekbench listings have surfaced once again. This time, it’s the global variant of the Z Fold7 (model SM-F966B) that has shown up, revealing promising – albeit varied – performance scores.

Two listings shed light on the phone’s capabilities.

The first one recorded a score of 1,916 in single-core and 5,231 in multi-core, while the second significantly jumped to 2,896 single-core and a whopping 9,226 multi-core. This performance bump likely reflects differences between early pre-production firmware and tuning improvements over time.

At its core, the Fold7 features Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ‘Elite for Galaxy’ chipset – a custom-tuned powerhouse designed to squeeze out even more performance for Samsung’s premium devices. It’s coupled with 12GB of RAM and runs the latest Android 16 topped with One UI 8, debuting on this upcoming foldable generation.

Earlier leaks showed the Korean variant (SM-F996N) on Geekbench last month, so this appearance reinforces that Samsung is wrapping up testing across markets. Despite skepticism about release schedules, the Z Fold7 is rumored to launch in early July, alongside the Z Flip7, at a dedicated New York event.

Still, not all fans are impressed. Some users have pointed out that initial benchmarks resembled older chipsets like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, raising concerns about thermal throttling under high load. Others are growing weary of Samsung’s slow rollout of foldables – but the promise of cutting-edge software, more durable displays, and elite processing power keeps the anticipation alive.

Samsung is clearly aiming to redefine ‘ultra’ with the Z Fold7. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the curtain to officially rise.
