Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 is generating quite a buzz ahead of its official debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. The foldable flagship has been subject to numerous leaks, and thanks to a fresh batch of live hands-on images, we now have a glimpse at its design and features. The Fold7 is showcased in a sleek new Blue Shadow color, which gives the device a modern and premium aesthetic. The camera island is similar to its predecessor, the Fold6, but this time, it sports metal camera rings.
The LED flash has been repositioned slightly lower for better functionality.
The device’s side profile reveals an impressively slim design, with the phone measuring only 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. The Z Fold7 is rumored to weigh 215 grams, making it 24 grams lighter than the Fold6, a noticeable change for those concerned with portability.
On the hardware side, the Fold7 is expected to feature an 8.2-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, offering an expansive viewing experience. The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset will power the device, with options for up to 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage. Despite the powerful internals, the battery capacity is a bit underwhelming at 4,400 mAh, with 25W charging support. The battery’s performance will be put to the test, especially considering the larger displays and advanced specs. One UI 8, based on Android 16, will run the show, promising a smooth user experience and the usual Samsung polish.
While the Fold7 offers impressive design and power, there’s still some hesitation among users, especially regarding its price point
. With rumors pointing to a premium price tag, many are wondering if the phone’s specs are truly worthy of the cost. Some are already questioning whether the 4,400 mAh battery and 25W charging are enough for a device priced at over $2000 in 2025. The debate over battery life, charging speed, and overall value is heating up as we approach the launch.
