Samsung Begins One UI 8 Watch Beta Testing for Galaxy Watch5 Series

Samsung has begun rolling out the beta version of its new One UI 8 Watch software to the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro, bringing the popular wearables one step closer to the latest smartwatch experience.

This update comes after the launch of the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, both of which debuted with One UI 8 Watch pre-installed.

The beta firmware, identified as R905NK0U1CYCD for the Watch5 and R925NK0U1CYCD for the Watch5 Pro, was recently spotted on Samsung’s servers. These builds are intended for the South Korean variants of the devices. According to leaks, the beta testing will be limited to users in South Korea and the US.

Samsung hasn’t provided a firm release date for either the public beta or the stable rollout of One UI 8 Watch for these older models. However, this beta arrival signals that development is well underway. In the meantime, users can look forward to the new health and fitness features that are central to One UI 8 Watch’s experience.

One UI 8 Watch brings enhanced wellness tracking, improved battery optimization, and smoother performance across the board, promising a more refined smartwatch experience for Galaxy Watch5 series owners soon.
