Samsung Begins Testing One UI 8 for the Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung is taking another step toward its next software update with One UI 8, this time for the Galaxy S24 FE. After recently unveiling plans for Android 16-based One UI 8 for the Galaxy A55, the brand has now shifted its focus to testing One UI 8 for the Galaxy S24 FE.

Currently, Samsung is working with firmware version S721BXXU6CYG1/S721BOXM6CYG1/S721BXXU6CYG1, but it’s not publicly available yet. Given that Samsung bypassed a beta release for One UI 7 on the S24 FE and went straight to the stable update, it’s likely that the S24 FE won’t be part of the One UI 8 beta program either.

As for the stable One UI 8 update, many are hoping for a release by the end of this year, especially since the Galaxy S24 FE only received the One UI 7 stable build back in April. With Samsung’s pattern of rolling out updates promptly, it seems reasonable to expect the same for One UI 8.
