SEGA’s latest fiscal report has revealed some surprising details about its upcoming game lineup, including the much-anticipated Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven from RGG Studio. Both titles are now confirmed to have a release window stretching into 2027 or later, sparking mixed reactions from fans and gamers alike. 
The report, which outlines SEGA’s ‘medium-term pipeline,’ lists these games alongside others like Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (set for a September 2025 release), Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army (already released), and Football Manager (launching in 2025).
What’s particularly interesting is that both Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven are labeled as ‘announced titles to be released in or after FY2027/3.’ While this does not guarantee a 2027 release date, it does suggest we may be waiting well into the next console generation for these titles. SEGA’s fiscal year 2027 starts in 2026, which means there’s still a chance that these games could release in the second half of 2026. However, the overall vibe suggests a longer wait, and we might not see either title until 2027.
Fans have already been eagerly anticipating Persona 4 Revival, with rumors circulating for months before the official reveal. Similarly, Stranger Than Heaven, formerly known as Project Century, was finally named during Summer Game Fest 2025. With the growing pace of modern game development, the two-year wait for these titles seems realistic. However, if 2027 is indeed the target release window, fans may not hear much more from SEGA until development on these projects intensifies.
