Scott Riccardi, better known in the Super Smash Bros. community as ‘Biscotto,’ has taken the Jeopardy! world by storm with an impressive 10-day winning streak and a current total of $262,101 in earnings. While he’s no stranger to competitive pressure, Riccardi’s dominance on one of America’s most iconic game shows is turning heads far beyond the esports scene.
Riccardi officially broke the record for most wins in Season 41 on July 15 with his ninth consecutive victory, outlasting previous standout Laura Faddah.
Since the season began in September 2024, only a handful of contestants have made it past six days-Riccardi now joins an elite group of just 18 players who’ve reached double-digit wins.
What makes his run even more fascinating is his background in competitive Super Smash Bros., where he’s an active online player. Although he’s not topping major tournament brackets, his most recent match, uploaded to YouTube just four months ago, shows that he’s still keeping his edge in the Smash scene. Compared to legendary Smash pro LG|MkLeo, Riccardi’s Jeopardy! winnings actually eclipse Leo’s lifetime Smash tournament earnings by over $100,000. That’s a flex few could claim.
Going forward, Riccardi will need to sustain this streak for at least another seven days to crack the all-time top 10 leaderboard. If he reaches 17 victories, he’ll bump Ryan Long off the 10th spot. Still, even if he doesn’t, he’s already carved out a memorable run. And hey, there’s always more time for Smash once he’s done collecting trivia W’s on national TV.
From Final Destination to Final Jeopardy, Scott ‘Biscotto’ Riccardi is proving that brains and battle skills can coexist-and thrive.
