Released on June 2, 2023, the game continues to captivate fans worldwide with its exciting battles and new features.

Capcom’s official statement read, ‘Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 5 million copies! What a way to celebrate our 2nd anniversary! Thanks to all our fans out there around the world and to all the prospective fans in the future!

The success of Street Fighter 6 marks a new chapter in Capcom’s growing portfolio, coming just months after reaching 4 million sales. The game has steadily gained traction, and it’s now poised to become the highest-selling title in the entire Street Fighter franchise. Currently, Street Fighter 5 holds that title, with over 7 million copies sold since its 2016 release. It seems likely that Capcom will be celebrating a big milestone for SF6 in 2026, when the game could surpass SF5 to become the best-selling title of the series.

In addition to these sales achievements, Capcom has also unveiled an exciting roadmap for Street Fighter 6 in its third year. A new batch of fighters will join the roster, with Sagat arriving this summer, followed by C. Viper in fall 2025, Alex in early spring 2026, and Ingrid later in the same year.
