Team Group has launched its P250Q NVMe SSD, a product that revolutionizes data destruction by allowing users to wipe all information from the drive with just a simple press of a button. This innovative device isn’t just about convenience, though. It brings an intelligent, fail-safe design that ensures data destruction continues even after an unexpected power loss.
Users can select different modes of data erasure, based on the duration of the button press. This flexibility makes the P250Q an essential tool for those who need to ensure data security with ease.
Equipped with a Secure Independent Destruction Circuit, the P250Q NVMe SSD is engineered to destroy data at the hardware level, targeting the Flash IC directly. This ensures a clean and complete wipe of all data. Even if the system loses power during the process, the SSD can pick up where it left off, continuing its erasure operation without skipping a beat. The process is visually tracked via multi-stage LED indicators, so users can monitor the erasure in real time.
Performance-wise, the P250Q isn’t designed to break speed records. With PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, it delivers a respectable 7,000 MB/s sequential read and 5,500 MB/s sequential write speeds. These speeds are more than sufficient for everyday tasks, and the SSD is available in sizes ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB. While it may not be the fastest on the market, its unique data destruction features and reliability in extreme environments make it stand out.
Team Group has also integrated a patented wide-temperature M.2 SSD, offering a wide temperature range between 85°C and 105°C. This feature ensures the SSD operates efficiently in high-temperature environments like electric vehicles or industrial robots, where heat levels can far exceed those in consumer devices. Additionally, the P250Q was awarded the 2025 Computex Best Choice Award for Cybersecurity, thanks to its strong security and stability performance, particularly in sectors like military, industrial, and gaming.
