Tecno Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro: Impressive LED Design and Long-Lasting Batteries

Tecno has launched two new smartphones in its Pova series: the Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro. Both devices feature striking Delta Light Interface designs, with a triangular LED strip around the camera island that lights up for notifications, incoming calls, music, gaming, and charging.

This light strip is customizable, offering a unique touch that reminds us of the innovations we’ve seen from Nothing. Tecno’s implementation adds a fresh twist to the concept.

Both phones come with impressive specifications. The Pova 7 features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 900 nits peak brightness, while the Pova 7 Pro steps it up with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display offering a 1220p+ resolution and up to 4500 nits peak brightness. The Pro version also includes an optical fingerprint scanner and 2340Hz PWM dimming for a smoother display experience.

Under the hood, both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Pova 7 Pro sports a 64MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide lens, while the Pova 7 comes with a 50MP main sensor and an unspecified secondary lens.

The phones run on Tecno’s HiOS 15, based on Android 15, and feature DeepSeek integration and the Ella AI assistant for a smarter experience. Both devices are equipped with a large 6000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging, while the Pro model adds 30W wireless charging.

As for pricing, the Tecno Pova 7 starts at INR 14,999 ($175) for the 8GB/128GB variant, and goes up to INR 15,999 ($187). The Pova 7 Pro starts at INR 18,999 ($222) for the 8GB/128GB version, and reaches INR 19,999 ($234) for the 8GB/256GB variant. The phones will be available for purchase starting July 10 on Flipkart.

This LED strip is interesting, but let’s hope it doesn't drain the battery too fast. 🤔
