Nacon Unveils 2-Year Plan for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown: Taxis, Housing, Diamonds & More
Nacon has officially revealed the Year 2 roadmap for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, outlining major seasonal updates stretching through July 2026. The announcement was made in a developer update video featuring KT Racing, reflecting on the game’s progress since its launch in September 2024 while teasing exciting new features on the horizon.
Season 4 kicks off on July 23, 2025, bringing five new cars, a Casino experience, a fresh in-game currency called Diamonds, and general gameplay enhancements. One standout addition is the community vote, active until August 4. Players can choose the next mission type to be added from four contenders: Detective, Delivery, Photography, or Adrenaline.
Come October 2025, Season 5 will not only launch the second year of Solar Crown updates but also reintroduce Taxi Missions, a fan-favorite from earlier titles. A new online store and a rebalanced in-game economy will also go live, powered by performance and visual improvements tied to an upgraded KT Engine.
Season 6 lands in January 2026, featuring the mission type chosen by players, alongside new vehicles and general quality-of-life upgrades. Then, in April 2026, Season 7 will unveil Official Racing Centers for both Hong Kong Island and Ibiza City, along with revamped live events and updates to the premium Solar Pass.
Season 8, arriving in July 2026, marks the long-awaited return of Housing and Real Estate, staples from the original TDU games. It will also introduce Extreme missions, Passenger mode, and more of the expected seasonal content.
Looking even further ahead, the devs at Nacon and KT Racing hinted at potential future additions like motorbikes and yachts, ensuring that Solar Crown continues to grow well beyond Year 2.
