tvOS 26 also brings improvements to the Apple Music Sing feature. Now, you can use your iPhone as a microphone, turning any moment into a sing-along party. Plus, friends can join in using their iPhones and contribute to the karaoke queue, all while interacting with fun, on-screen emojis. The update also enhances profile switching, allowing you to easily switch between personal profiles on your Apple TV, offering personalized recommendations and tailored Watchlists.
Along with these features, the updated Control Center makes managing settings like audio, sleep timers, and lighting scenes a breeze without interrupting your viewing experience. For fans of Aerial screensavers, there are new ones to enjoy, and you can now choose any AirPlay speaker, not just the HomePod, as the permanent audio output for your Apple TV.
Other notable updates in tvOS 26 include FaceTime’s new Contact Posters, multilingual Live Captions, and smart call notifications that are linked to individual profiles. These additions aim to create a more personalized and user-friendly environment. Expect the tvOS 26 update to launch later this year alongside other platform updates.
