Peacock’s Twisted Metal is shifting into a higher gear with Season 2, and fans got an explosive first look during IGN Live 2025. The exclusive clip kicks off Calypso’s twisted demolition derby – a deadly tournament that promises to grant the winner’s deepest desire. 
But in true Twisted Metal fashion, there’s no such thing as a clean ride.
Returning to the madness are John Doe (Anthony Mackie), Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa voiced by Will Arnett), and Dollface (Tiana Okoye). But the roads are getting even wilder. Viewers caught a glimpse of Axel – half-man, half-machine – tearing across the wasteland in full War Wheel form, and we met Mayhem, a chaotic new contender played by Saylor Bell Curda.
Mayhem, a ruthless teen born after the fall of civilization – an ‘apo-baby’ – brings fresh fire to the cast. She’s a liar, a manipulator, and loud as hell. But under the sharp edges, Quiet sees something more: potential. As their dynamic unfolds, Quiet takes on an unexpected role – not just a survivor, but a reluctant mentor, a cool aunt in a brutal world.
Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith promises that Season 2 cranks up the stakes. Unlike Season 1’s road-trip format, this time the show fully embraces its Twisted Metal game roots, diving headfirst into the high-octane chaos of the actual tournament. It’s more intense, more violent, and a hell of a lot more fun.
What started as a show no one expected much from has grown into a cult hit – a post-apocalyptic cocktail of absurd humor, emotional depth, and unhinged action. If you liked the offbeat energy of the Fallout series, there’s a good chance Twisted Metal will scratch that same chaotic itch.
