vivo T4 Ultra Leak: Flagship-Level Specs in a Midrange Package?

vivo is gearing up to expand its T-series with the upcoming vivo T4 Ultra, a device that’s shaping up to punch way above its weight in the midrange market. While the standard vivo T4 was announced in April with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, the Ultra variant appears to be switching gears with a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300 or 9300+ chip under the hood. That’s the same flagship-level processor powering high-end phones, which already puts the T4 Ultra on a different level.

The rumored display is a gorgeous 6.67-inch 120Hz pOLED panel, promising silky-smooth visuals and deep contrasts.

Coupled with an impressive 90W fast charging capability, it’s clear vivo is pushing the limits of what’s typically expected from mid-tier devices.

The camera setup is another highlight: a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera paired with a 50MP periscope-style telephoto lens. This setup could potentially deliver respectable zoom capabilities—possibly in the 10x to 20x range, a feature usually reserved for premium flagships.

As for software, the T4 Ultra will reportedly ship with Android 15 and FunTouch OS 15. While vivo’s custom UI isn’t everyone’s favorite, especially among enthusiasts, it has seen gradual improvements over recent updates. That said, many still hope for cleaner UI alternatives in the future.

There are whispers that the T4 Ultra could launch in early June, and if vivo gets the pricing right—potentially around the $400 mark—it might ignite a fresh midrange arms race. With brands like OnePlus, Motorola, and Nothing pushing well-optimized UIs and competitive specs, the market is ripe for disruption. The T4 Ultra might be the device that redefines how we view the midrange segment—delivering flagship-level performance, camera capabilities, and battery life without breaking the bank.

While some speculate it might be a rebranded V40 Pro, the differences in specs and strategy suggest otherwise. This looks more like vivo trying to carve a new identity in the mid-premium arena. The only question now is: can they price it right?

I don’t get why they call it 'Ultra' if it’s just a T4 with better chip and cam. Name inflation is real 😂
