vivo is gearing up for a major shift with the upcoming vivo V60, and we now have our first look at its design, thanks to leaked renders. Following the V50’s launch earlier this year, the V60 is expected to debut next month-rumored for an August 19 release in India.
But what really sets this phone apart is its software: the vivo V60 is expected to be the first smartphone in India to run OriginOS, previously exclusive to China.
The renders showcase two sleek colors-Moonlit Blue and Auspicious Gold-with a third option, Mist Grey, mentioned but not yet pictured. From the looks of it, the V60 draws inspiration from the China-only vivo S30, featuring a similar layout but adding a premium touch with the ZEISS co-branded camera island. That badge hints at serious improvements in camera performance.
Specs-wise, the V60 is rumored to come powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, pack a sizeable 6,500 mAh battery, and boast quad-curved display aesthetics. For photography enthusiasts, there’s talk of a 50MP main sensor-matching the S30’s setup. While the S30 shipped with Android 15, the V60 is expected to jump ahead with OriginOS based on Android 16.
While hardware seems solid, some users have already raised concerns over possible cutbacks like UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4x memory-components considered outdated in 2025’s midrange market. Many hope vivo doesn’t repeat mistakes by offering dated internals under a polished exterior.
Nonetheless, the move to finally ship OriginOS internationally is being seen as a welcome shift. After years of FunTouch OS fatigue, fans are eager for the cleaner, more optimized experience that OriginOS promises.
With anticipation building, all eyes are now on the official reveal. Will the vivo V60 deliver a flagship-like experience in the midrange segment-or be remembered as just another rebrand? We’ll find out soon enough.
