vivo fans, mark your calendars: July 10 is shaping up to be a big day.
vivo X200 FE and X Fold5 to Launch July 10 with Flagship Features
According to new leaks, the vivo X200 FE and the X Fold5 will debut together in a joint launch event. Both phones are expected to bring high-end hardware and new design features, though their target audiences may differ sharply.

vivo X200 FE: Compact Powerhouse with Balanced Specs

The vivo X200 FE is rumored to arrive with a 6.31-inch flat OLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its under-display fingerprint sensor keeps things sleek, while power comes from either the Dimensity 9300+ or the newer 9400e chipset. Both options promise top-tier performance, making this phone competitive with flagship rivals.

On the photography front, it packs a 50 MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50 MP telephoto camera (IMX882) with 3x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultrawide shooter. Selfies are handled by a 50 MP front camera, which is rare in this price segment. The phone will come in 12/256GB and 16/512GB variants, with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, a generous 6,500 mAh battery, and ultra-fast 90W wired charging.

vivo X Fold5: A Sleeker Foldable That Aims Higher

Meanwhile, the vivo X Fold5 will feature an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED panel with a 2K+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, alongside a 6.53-inch LTPO OLED cover screen. Unlike its predecessor, the Fold5 will be thinner—only 4.3mm when open and 9.33mm folded—making it feel more premium and less bulky.

Inside, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The camera setup mirrors the X200 FE with the same IMX921 main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus, and a 50 MP telephoto (IMX882). Dual 32 MP selfie cameras, 90W wired and 30W wireless charging, a 6,000 mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner round out the package. A new three-stage Alert Slider-like button also makes its debut.

Will Foldables Ever Catch Up?

Despite the Fold5’s impressive list of features, foldables in China still face an uphill battle. With Huawei’s Mate X series dominating consumer attention, vivo’s Fold lineup has historically struggled for visibility. Specs alone may not be enough—brand loyalty, ecosystem strength, and real-world usability continue to play major roles.

The X200 FE, however, might be the quiet winner of this event. With a near-flagship experience packed in a more traditional form factor, it’s likely to appeal to a wider base. If vivo can price it aggressively, it may even challenge competitors like the iQOO 12 or the OnePlus T series.

Whether you’re a fan of foldables or just looking for a powerful, well-rounded smartphone, July 10 might just bring something worth waiting for.

The Alert Slider thing sounds nice tho. Missed that from OnePlus days. Hope it’s not just a gimmick

Ayy, vivo copying and pasting sensors across models like it’s a school project lol. But hey, at least they’re good sensors

Can’t believe the selfie cam is 50 MP on the X200 FE. That’s wild even for flagship standards

Foldables are cool but still feel like a flex more than something people actually need day-to-day
