Warframe to Get ‘The Old Peace’ in 2025, Tau in 2026

During TennoCon 2025, Digital Extremes revealed some exciting future updates for Warframe, the beloved free-to-play third-person online action game. The upcoming Narrative Chapter, titled ‘The Old Peace,’ will take players on a journey into the past. This quest will focus on Tau and his childhood friend, Adis, as they navigate the tensions between the Orokin and the Dax Anarch Warriors, a new enemy faction, on the Perita moon. Expect a strong operator-centric experience, continuing Warframe’s ongoing ‘Void War’ story arc.

Alongside ‘The Old Peace,’ a side story called ‘The Devil’s Triad’ will introduce a new trio of characters: Father Lyon Allard (Protoframe of Harrow), Marie Leroux (Protoframe of Wisp), and Uriel, the devil-themed Warframe.

Fans will also see the Operator’s models and assets get a significant graphical remaster, including improved facial animations to bring it up to the latest visual standards of the game.

There’s more to look forward to, as the new Ultimate ability for the Operator will be unveiled soon, alongside the upcoming Fall update. This update will continue enhancing the new player experience with the new ‘The Teacher’ Mod tutorial Quest, created with Sumo Digital. Warframe’s 62nd Warframe will also debut, alongside a rework of Oberon, a new Lavos deluxe skin, and several quality-of-life improvements. More details will be announced during the September live stream. In addition, Warframe’s Android closed beta is set for this Fall, with sign-ups available for the playtest.
